Stephanie

Stephanie joined Affleck M.D. Eye Care in 2010 and became the manager in 2013.  She does a little of everything at the office and enjoys the variety of each day.  Her background in sociology has trained her to be a good listener and ask the right questions.  These skill has improved the office services.  She has implemented many procedures she hopes will “help our staff and doctor provide outstanding patient care.”  Of all the hats she wears at the office her favorite is working as an optician.  “It is like going shopping with the patient, and who does not like shopping for new and fun things!”  The real reward for her is when her patients are amazed with their glasses. One of her favorite experiences is with an 82 year old patient.  She struggled with focusing on objects.  Stephanie had the patient tested for prism with Dr. Affleck.  The first day of trying on the glasses the patient cried with joy. “After that she went out of her way to stop by several times to thank me and even brought me goodies.”

Stephanie has four sons, and a daughters-in-law.  She is an enthusiastic family planner and takes every opportunity she can to have a family gathering.
